25 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS EVIL : DAY 17 : JACK FROST 2 : REVENGE OF THE MUTANT KILLER SNOWMAN

You may remember that I talked in length about a sweet Holographic cover for the release of the Jack Frost VHS back in the late 90's. Well it would seem that it worked and must have shifted enough copies to warrant the production of the sequel 3 years later. Same score with the holographic cover, only this time featuring evil snowballs that look like Pacman on coke. 

Since the death of Jack Frost, the snowman, not the serial killer, Sheriff Tiler has tried to put the events of Snowmanton behind him, but he is still haunted by the feeling that Jack is still out there somewhere, waiting for revenge. In an attempt to get past his encounter with the icey killer he heads off to a tropical island for Christmas. Only Jack is still alive and follows our hero in a bid to make sure Tiler feels the cold grip of revenge. 

If you're expecting a masterpiece, you won't find it here, but its a solid, if not cheap looking, sequel to the original. The production value seems to have fallen somewhat, and It looks like it might even be shot on video tape this time round. However, its as silly as a film with kind of title is supposed to be and its a fun Christmas adventure for horror fans who don't take their horror too seriously.
