There are some films too awesome for words, but being a Blog I have to write something and so tonights chosen film is one that when I was first told about it, thought someone was pulling my leg, and when I finally saw some stills and a trailer I suddenly started to think that maybe, just maybe, this could be amazing. It was and is one of my favourite Santa slashers of all time.
Turns out Santa is actually a demon of sorts, cursed to spend 1000 years being nice to children on Christmas Eve by delivering presents, tonight, 1000 years is up and the horrific vengeful santa is back ready to murder and maim all in his path and his chosen target is the township of the aptly named 'Hell'.
The film is exactly what you'd expect a Bill Goldberg starring Psycho Santa flick to be, glorious seasonal violence that is always just silly enough to keep it light,it has its problems, the pacing seems strange and often events throughout seem almost random, but its all in good fun and never takes itself seriously at all and thats where its charm lies. Goldberg does a brilliant job as the murderous Claus. Well worth checking out.
